Japan has around 17 or 18 frogs and toads. Kaeru means 'return' and it is thought to bring good fortune if you release a captured frog back into the wild. I like that great idea.
SAVE THE FROGS DAY 2025
This year April 28th is the 17th annual Save The Frogs Day. Save The Frogs Day is the world’s largest day of amphibian education and conservation action. On this day we encourage the appreciation and celebration of amphibians by people from all walks of life. To celebrate this year me and Bug Belly have created and designed 2 helpful fact sheets illustrating how you can create your very own mini wildlife garden pond. With natural habitats disappearing it's important to try and help change this by creating extra mini habitats in our own back gardens.

France has around 17 or 18 frogs and toads. I'm sure I read somewhere that croaking frogs were in part responsible for the French revolution. Aristocratic land owners forced their workers to stay awake through the night in order to quieten the croaking frogs. That's when plans were hatched, or spawned!

Around 17 frogs and toads can be found in Greece. Some endemic to the islands, like this Cretan frog. I remember making an extra long net to catch Marsh frogs in Skiathos to photograph.

Draw like a professional illustrator by copying what you see in the bottom picture into the grid squares above. It's a great method to practice drawing. You could even GO LARGE and make a giant copy of the exact same grid, and then make a giant copy of Bug Belly and pals on the lily leaf.
